2001 Chevrolet Tracker Car Cranking Starting Tunked On Fuel Tank Started Does

car was cranking but not starting. I tunked on the fuel tank and it started. Does this mean the fuel pump is bad or the sending unit or should I replace them both?

yep, the pump has a dead spot. replace the pump.

just the pump or is it a good practice to change sending unit too

you can get just the pump. if the sender is working ok, just do the pump. otherwise, replace the module assembly
