I have been having issues with my steering lately. I live on a mountain so there are winding roads to my home. When driving through these turns the vehicle will occasionally over steer or under steer. It feels like the vehicle is sliding or as if it is catching on a groove and pulling harder into the turn (is that makes sense). Sometimes on a straightaway, the front will pull from one side to the other and correct. This feels like either one or both front tire(s) are drifting and then correcting.

It is evident that something is wrong with the steering. Is there something specific that I need to replace to fix this problem?

I'D SAY THE 1ST STEP WOULD BE SOMETHING LIKE THIS

'ROUND HERE, WE HAVE WHAT I CALL "THE ALIGNMENT SHOP". AND WHAT I CALL "AN ALIGNMENT SHOP" (SORTA THE LITTLE GUYS WHO DON'T SPECIALIZE IN JUST ALIGNING. SORTA A JACK OF ALL TRADES ON A CAR)

THE 2ND SHOP I MENTIONED MAY DABBLE IN EVERYTHING, ALIGNMENTS ARE SORTA AN "ELECTIVE" THEY MAY GO A WEEK BEFORE THEY DO ONE. MANY TIMES, THE "HELP" IS INEXPERIENCED.

"THE ALIGNMENT SHOP" SPECIALISES IN ALIGNMENTS AND SUSPENSION. CARS TO BIG TRUCKS!

. THIS IS WHERE I GO!

FIND YOU A DUMP TRUCK/ CONCRETE TRUCK/ ETC. OPERATION AND ASK THEM WHERE THEY GO!

AGAIN, 'ROUND HERE, THE FELLERS AT "THE ALIGNMENT SHOP" WILL COME OUT AND SORTA GIVE YOU A "QUICK VISUAL AND QUICK HANDS ON" DIAGNOSIS. REMEMBER, THEY CAN'T SEE SOME OF THIS STUFF TILL THEY "GET IN"

NEVER-THE-LESS. FROM "EXPERIENCE" THEY WILL MOST LIKELY BE ABLE TO TELL YOU WHAT KINDA STUFF MIGHT BE FOUND DURING EXPLORATORY SURGERY. EVEN MIGHT BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU A "BALL PARK ESTIMATE". THIS ALL DISCUSSED BEFORE YOU LEAVE IT OR EVEN PAY A DIME!

IF YOU FIND YOURSELF UNABLE TO LOCATE THE PROBLEM.I'D GO THE "THE ALIGNMENT SHOP". THIS MIGHT BE A FREE DIAGNOSES (EXPERIENCE AND REAL TIME). YOU MIGHT EVEN THEN BE ABLE TO DIY OR JUST LET THEM FINISH THE JOB

. YES, THEY WILL UNDERSTAND THE STEERING END OF THIS!

WHATCHU THINK?
