Vehicle drives and shifts fine but when i punch it it feels like im being held back a hesitation happens. I noticed this since i stopped using premium gas. Dont know if that is related. When i put fuel treatment in it seems to stop. But i hear its bad to keep putting fuel system cleaner in.

As long as you follow the manufacturer's directions, the fuel system cleaner shouldn't hurt it. Have you checked fuel pump pressure to make sure it is within the manufacturer's specs? Have you checked for any vacuum leaks around the intake? Have you confirmed that the catalytic converter isn't partially plugged?

Was trying to figure out why my 1999 Chevy suburban not accelerating. Everytime I push on the gas it goes up to about 30 than it makes this werid sound and won't go up until it goes back down than the speed picks up, but never goes pass 30. Sometimes it does go up to 40 but that's barely.

Hi,

What you are describing could be a few different things. A weak fuel pump, a partially plugged catalytic converter, and so on. Can you tell me if the check engine light stays on when the engine is running? If it is, have you had the computer scanned for diagnostic trouble codes?

Let me know. If you have scanned it, let me know the codes which were found. Also, since you mentioned the weird sound, does it sound like pressurized air escaping? If it could be that, I have a feeling it is related to the catalytic converter. Also, let me know if you hear any rattling from under the vehicle.

I will watch for your reply.

Take care,
Joe
