Have a 2001 Chevy Suburban and the fuel gauge is reading empty. Have already replaced the fuel pump and it is still showing empty. What other reasons could be causing this to happen? don't really know what else to try.

normally this is due to a faulty sender unit in the tank, you say you replaced the pump was the sender done also? If so the gauge is bad and needs to be replaced.
