scanner doesn't power up when I plug it it

I have 01 chevy 2500HDI bought a scanner and code reader .when I plug it into the (DLC ) It does not power up , like its not plugged in at all . I have used it on 3 other cars and it works fine . Whats wrong with the truck ?

You need to check your cig fuses and outlet fuses one of them is blown.
