My dad has a 2nd gen 2.2. I wired the tach and got a little bit of illumination. Have an equus tach.

Wired the red wire to the stereo but didnt wont. Cut the radio wire and put it back. Now it wont work

Wired the black wire to the firewall

Wired the green wire(tach signal) to the 2nd wire on the third slot on the grey clip from the cluster

And the white wire I connected with the wire on top coming from #11 from the fuse box. That wire leads to the illumination of the cluster on the left side. Took the tach wire out and connected the original wire back now it doesnt work

Please help!

You need to help me, understand. First, this is an aftermarket part that I am not familiar with and have no technical information or schematics to look at. If I understand, the radio no longer works since you cut and repaired the wire to it, correct? Have you checked to see if you burnt any fuses?

Can you upload a picture of the schematic so I can see what needs done?

The radio works and everything's fine now. I was overlooked the fact that the battery has drained. So everything is working. Now I just need to know where are the place to tap the tach wires on.
Red- power for the tach
White- illumination for the tach
Green- tach signal
Black- ground

Btw there was a blown fuse and got it replaced
