2001 Chevrolet S 10 On 4wheel Drive Rear Passenger Axle Shaft Move Out About 1 8

on 4wheel drive the rear passenger axle shaft can move in and out about 1/8 th to 1/4 in. is this still ok or is there a problem with the differential its self? There is no movement on the drivers side and no movement when you try to move it up and down.

yes, just play on the shaft for spider gears
