How to do a manual oil presure check?

The oil presure guage reads 40 to 45 psi but the driver side vavle are chattering but not all.Would that be bad lifters or bad pump? How do i do a manual oil presure check?

generally remove oil pressure sensor and connect gauge.

Where is the oil presure sensor located?Also do you think it needs lifters or oil punp?

what oil ya runnin? lifters/rockers could be bad, sometimes an additive like LUCAS oil stabilizer quiets them up.

I am useing 5w30 what is recomended show i use another weight?

i would try 10w40 and lucas.
