2001 Chevrolet S 10 Heater Still Puts Out Heat Only Runs On High Now Started

My heater still puts out heat, it only runs on high but now it has started to make a loud squeeling sound and a vibrating hum. I think it to be the heater fan but not sure. Can I change this myself or do I have to put it in a garage?

replace the heater motor plus the blower resistor
