2001 Chevrolet S-10 Fuel gauge

I had the fuel pump replaced and about a year later the gauge started staying on full. It will drop when the key is turned off but goes straight to full when engine is cranked. It stays there no matter how much gas is in it. How can I check it at the sending unit? Could it be that the arm is sticking in the tank?

Most likely the board for the sending unit went bad I have seen them read full all the time.Do you have any codes in the computer?
