2001 Chevrolet S-10 a/c compressor

The a/c compressor on my truck cycles off and on. Even when my air conditioner is not turned on. Is this normal and if it is not, what is the possible problem?

ANY HEAT SETTING THAT HAS "DEFROST" IN THE MIX WILL MAKE THE COMPRESSOR COME ON TO REMOVE MOISTURE FROM THE AIR THAT IS BLOWN ONTO THE WINDSHIELD

DOES IT DO IT WITH EVERYTHING TURNED OFF?

ARE YOU SURE IT'S CYCLING AND THE CLUTCH IS (MESSED UP) DRAGGING THE COMPRESSOR TO TURN HERE AND THERE? (NOT AN ACTUAL "ON" AND "OFF" ACTUATION)

Here's what the pulley on the compessor is doing. With everything turned off and the truck running. You can see and hear the clutch on the the compessor pulley engage. It will turn with the pulley a minute or so and then disengage.
It does this as long as the engine is running. Off for a minute or so and then on for a minute or so.

if it cuts off and on then it may be the relay is stuck check the fuse box undrhood it's marked.
