transmission unexpectedly went into slippage at 65mph-exited fwy and found tran would not upshift from lower gear and would spin out above 20 mph-replaced fluid and filter[fluid was black but no metal at magnets in pan] are there switches or fuses that control the shifting mechanism? mileage over 135000 but never any probs w/trans and ran fine until this happened

f the fluid was black then the trans is probably shot have a trans guy look at it.
