2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Abs Sensor code came back.

My friend has replaced the hub and sensor assy once before on the 2001 Monte Carlo. Is there something he's not doing or is there a trick to make the sensor last longer and not keep on give an abs code after a few thousand miles? Thanks

Is there a test with the sensor off vehicle? What is the way to test wiring? I have heard of a wiring tester where it beeps when a break is found but is there another way to test? Thanks
