Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.
Disable the supplemental inflatable restraints (SIR). Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
Remove the steering column trim cover.
Remove the mounting screw (1) from the multifunction switch (2).
Remove the multifunction switch (1) from the column (2).
Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the multifunction switch (1).
Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.
Disable the supplemental inflatable restraints (SIR). Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
Remove the steering column trim cover.
Remove the mounting screw (1) from the multifunction switch (2).
Remove the multifunction switch (1) from the column (2).
Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the multifunction switch (1).
