2001 3.1 has bad ticking sound at valve covers. it does quite down after it warms up but never goes away. Suggestions?

you could try adding an oil stabilizer along with 20w50 oil. i had a bad tick and that cured mine. if you have very cold weather then just add stabilizer to your current oil. i use lucas brand.
