What else could cause this problem?

I did change the thermostat and flushed the cooling system,new water pump, new radiator ,head gasgates got done about two years ago.The car got out the shop about 3months ago and then it just got hot and shut off form running hot.

if it shut off from overheating, then there may be internal engine damage

have a leak down test done to confirm the head gaskets first.
