Two weeks ago my 2001 chevy malibou started making a low humming noise but since we put 80 miles a day on the car it has turned into a loud humming noise. Real loud. But no grinding yet. Took off front wheels rotars and pads r like brand new when I rotated rotor there was qiute a bit of tension and a scraping noise coming out both sides near the bootcar runs great no transmission problems but its definitely in the front end

Okay:
I need you to check the backing plate behind the rotors to make sure no rust is toughing the rotor and the backing plates haven't been bent causing the same thing. Also, I need to know if the noise changes when you make turns indicating a wheel bearing.

Let me know.

Joe
