I have a 2001 chevy cavalier with a 2.2 engine, recently my radiator fan stoped working so I checked the relay and it was fine I ended up changing the temperature control sensor and still did not engage, so then I changed the motor on th fan and still no power, I bought a scanner because my check engine light is on and it gives me two codes the first one is p0480 and the other one is p0480? And the other thing I noticed is that the car is idleing by its self as if I where slightly pressing on the gas peddle it does this while its on park? What else should I be looking at is far as the fan? Also I ended up changing the radiator I accidetnly punctured it.

I'M NOT REAL FAMILIAR WITH ALL OF THE NEW STUFF

WITH THE RIGHT INFO/ TOOLS.I DIAGNOSE WELL

ARE YOU SURE YOU CHANGED COOLANT TEMP SWITCH? (THE ONE THAT TURNS THE FAN ON). ON SOME VEHICLES/ PEOPLES HEADS, IT'S CONFUSED WITH THE "TEMPERATURE SENDER" (THE ONE THAT OPERATES THE GAUGE)

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TEST VOLTAGES ON THE WIRES IN THE DIAGRAM (WHAT'S ON/ WHAT'S OFF, AND WHEN?)

SOMETIMES NEW STUFF CAN BE BAD!

IF YOU HAVE AN EXACT MATCH RELAY, TO THE FAN RELAY. LIKE TO MIRRORS, PWR SEATS ETC. NOT FUEL PUMP OR CRITICAL RELAYS FOR RUNNING. SWAP THE "NOTHING IMPORTANT RELAY" WITH THE COOLING FAN'S. JUST FOR A TEST, BUY A NEW ONE IF YOU DEEM THE OTHER BAD. IF IT'S GOOD, NO MONEY WAS SPENT!

I'M GONNA SEE IF I CAN FIND YOU A "LOCATION DIAGRAM" SO YOU WILL BE SURE OF WHAT'S WHAT!

Did you check the cooling fan fuse 30amp in the underhood fuse block left front of engine compartment?

The coolant temperature sensor gives the computer the signal when to activate the fan relay could be a wiring problem or the computer itself
