2001 Chevrolet Camaro 3 8v6 Speed Cuts Out Hesitates Accellerator Applied

A 2001 Camaro with 3.8v6, at speed, cuts out and/or hesitates when accellerator is applied, i.e.: needing power to merge on ramp, and also any kind of rapid acceleration from idle. Any idea exactly what it might be? Have done many tests and troubleshooting already. Please help!

CHeck fuel pump pressure, check catalytic converter for plugging, check for tune up.
