service engine light came on code says replace tcc seloind in transmission how do I do that on a 2001 deville

No SES codes would tell you to replace any component. It would only indicate that an error has been detected with the component or its controlling circuit.

What was the code retrieved?

TCC is located on upper valve body and you need to remove the side cover to get at the solenoid.
