how much trouble to repair torque converter clutch solenoid and location???cadillac deville--2001--4.6 engine

It is a lot of trouble if you don't have a lift, an engine support fixture, and a transmission jack. It is in the side of the trans under the cover. Are you getting p0741, and p1860. To do just the solenoid you are leaving a lot on the table for the potential of it to reoccur. It is best to reseal the TCC hydraulic circuit as well as replace the converter all at the same time.
