The left rear shock about half way down has a piece broke off. The top piece of the shock is still connected to the car so is the bottom piece, but part of the shock itself is gone. Also my service engine light, ABS light and my traction control light stay on all the time. Do any of these lights on the dash have anything to do with my broken shock?

There could have been some damage to the postion sensors for ABS and traction but highly un-likely. Check fuel lines for damage and replace the filter if applicable.
