Hi, my transmission seems to be going out. I am searching for rebuild or replacement options but it says there are one of two transmissions that could fit my car.

Transmission started whining today. Seems to still have power to the wheels but noise got louder. Checked fluid- fine. Revved engine in park and neutral- no noise. Happens in all gears. Got home turned off, waited a few hours- noise is considerably less but hesitant about taking it back out on the highway.

Searched for hours online to get car specs to make sure transmission will work but 2 different types are available. Unable to find any sites that will let me enter vin to get exact info about what part I will need. I can however recommend entering "vehicle specifications using VIN" if you ever want to get a car fax report.

Best site ever!

You will be better off getting to a transmission specialist, they can test and report accurately on the exact fault and advise on repair costs be it yours or a reco change over unit.
