After starting and letting my '01 Buick century idle for about ten minutes, I start to smell gas. I can smell it inside the car and around the outside of it. Any ideas?

I also failed to mention that it is having a terrible time starting, almost sounds like the pump might be going.

you may likely have a leak. park over dry pavement and let run for 10 then move and look for spot on ground and see if it is gas.if no spot the leak may be too small to drip as it is evaporating too fast. you should go to tire store or muffler shop and have them inspect it. fix the leak and starting may improve?
