clicking or tapping noise

Could an oil change solve the problem because I also have a 94 bmw 318I and the same thing happened but I just added a little oil and it stopped.

Yeah that might work, no guarantees. If that doesn't work try adding lucas oil stabilizer because that is thicker and more of a cushion sort to speak for the engines valves.

The noise could be due to the need to change the oil, try that first and if it continues let me know and we will go from there.
