Can I use a different transmission fluid other than the Esso ? Redline?

Also is there any information on how to change a torque converter and the TCC solenoid.

Using fluid other than what BMW recommends is risky, I suggest using the factory fluid. Replacement of the converter will obviously require removal of the transmission, do you have the facilities to do so? The TCC solenoid is inside the pan, remove it and the solenoid will be exposed.
