can I put the 1997 bmw 318 i body on the 2001 bmw 325i frame?

I have a 2001 bmw 325i that runs awesome and has almost a new frame with new bushings and shocks but the body is aweful and I have a 1997 bmw 318i that has an awesome body but a bad engine can I put the 1997 bmw 318 i body on the 2001 bmw 325i? What would be my best option here?

a body shop would best be suited for your answer but be prepared, it will be very pricy. it may be owrth having the body done over rather than replace it.
