Audi TT speedometer

I have an audi tt. The speedometer and tach do not move while driving until 30 minutes or so. Is this hard to fix?

I would start with a scan to check for any unresolved fault codes, but as both are powered from different sources i would be considering a fault with the printed circuit board in the speedo, do both power back up at the same time?
