It won't even let me enter the code. I press FM2 and RDS at the same time but to no avail. It just keeps saying safe. I have waited the full hour, and I've also disconnected it from the power source all together. Nothing seems to be working. Is there anything else I can do besides go to the dealer?

Unless you have a VAS-501 to pull the DTC's from the radio-you need to bring it in to the dealership

The problem is the engineers designed in things like this to force you to go to the dealership. Volkswagen, BMW, and General Motors are the least customer-friendly manufacturers and Audi isn't far behind. They've found lots of tricks to separate owners from their money after the sale. They won't even sell us radio service manuals or parts any longer. You lose. I lose. Audi wins.
