Start with the basics, spark plugs and wires. The flashing Check Engine light means you're supposed to stop the engine as quickly as possible to prevent overheating the catalytic converter from too much raw fuel going into it. Most commonly that results from a spark-related misfire.

Hello and welcome to 2carpros. Just to jump in, have you scanned for codes yet? If you have a scan tool here is a link to retrieve the codes.
If you have a fault for example P0302 cylinder #2 misfire. Remove the #2 coil and swap it with #1 coil. Reset the codes and road test to get the check engine misfiring. If you get a P0301 for cylinder #1 misfire then you know the coil is bad. If still the same misfire then swap spark plugs then fuel injectors if same cylinder misfires.
