Well book time calls for 5 hours so there is some work involved in doing this repair. You are also going to need to adjust the turbo as well so if you are really not familiar with the process I would recommend you take it to a shop for the repair.

Yea I am quite sure that this is over my head and I do have more qualified mechanic friends to assist with this, I just don't have the money to take it to a shop. One more thing. Can only a turbo from a 2000 Volvo be used? Or can I look for a 99 Volvo turbo?

That I can not really tell you? You may want to call Volvo's parts department to see if turbo is the same part number for both years?
