You could have multiple problems here or they could all be related to one problem? The first thing you should do is have the engine control module scanned for fault codes. What you can do in the meantime is let the vehicle sit overnight. Before you start the car up in the morning, remove the fuel pressure regulator hose at the intake and inspect for fuel. If there is fuel present then the regulator is leaking and causing your hard start issue. If that is OK then I would suspect a faulty idle air control valve. If you have fault codes for the engine temperature sensor, check thermostat operation and that it is not stuck open. If that is OK then the sensor itself is most likely giving a faulty reading and this at times could also cause some starting issue. Usually when it starts to go bad it will cause the vehicle to idle really high and run really rich causing the spark plugs to faul out with fuel. If they get saturated with fuel that will cause a hard start as well. So like I metioned before, you could have multiple problems or the one problem could all be related so see if you can get it scanned for fault codes and post them on here please.
