2000 volvo s80 instrument cluster goes out after start and (everything) RPM etc. takes head and tail lights and windows out with it

For this issue I strongly recommend you take it in to the dealership for proper diagnosis of the CANBus system. You could have an issue in the wiring or a control module going down and taking everything down with it. The dealership should have a "flight recorder" to record information to try and catch where the root fault is at?
