After you set the timing on a 2000 s80 Volvo can you start the car without pulling out the hydraulic tensioner or must it be pulled out before the car will start? if timing is sightly off will car still start? timing components all replace but i didnt pull out the pin to the hydraulic tensioner will that stop the car from starting?

You need to pull the pin for the tensioner to set the tension
