do i have to take my 2000 vw passat 2.8 v6 to a vw repairman for transmission fluid?

No problems yet.. just wondering since doesn't have a dip stick..

i would, whether you a stick or automatic, have a tech check and add for you and see if the trans needs to be serviced.

typically they are lifetime filled, only need fluid added if repairs are performed... there is a procedure at a certain temp, if you don't know what you are doing it's best to let the dealer do it. fkuid is very pricey tho.
