hi there i am the owner of a 2000w vwgolf 1.9tdi auto just the other day my front wipers seemed to develop a fault this beingb that when they are switched of they remain on the only way to seem to stop them is to wash the windows then they wipe 4 or 5 times than they stop the thing is they stop randomly anywhere on the windscreen any help would be greatly appreciated as i have just lost my job so cant afford garage many thanks al

Problem is most likely cause by a malfunction of the wiper/washer intermittent relay located in aux relay panel, under left side of dash.
