How do I remove the battery on my VW Bora

I need to charge the battery on my VW Bora and I cannot for the life of me see how to remove it, it has a fabric type case around it once this is removed I can't see how to get it out. Please help!

The battery might not be the problem, have you rule out the alternator-you don't have to remove the battery to charge it and again we don't have the information for this vehicle-
