2000 Volkswagen Beetle Indicators On Daughters Vw Flash You Opereate Them Both

the indicators on my daughters 2000 vw Beetle do not flash when you opereate them ,both L/H & R/H do the same , the hazard lights work properly, would this be a relay or (do hazard & indicators have the same relay)

The turn signal relay is part of the hazard switch.... sounds like your turn signal switch or wiring is faulty.
