I just had my timing belt and water pump replace $900.
I believe I am missing a little power that I had before the change.
I also believe the mechanic didn't line up the dots on the timing gears correctly, maybe one, two or maybe three gears off.
Do I have to disassemble the entire front of the engine, as he did to change the belt, to check the alignment of those marks?
Thanks for your help!!!
It is A 4.7L motor

set the crank to 0 degrees on the timing mark and remove the top covers to view the timing marks.
