What dose it mean when air con light flashes?

Hello,
The air conditioner light can flash due to having a faulty switch, issue with the compressor not turning on.
It can also flash if the belt is slipping and not turning the compressor properly. The flashing light signaling those discrepancies between the engine RPM and the compressor speed.
Is the A/C functional?
If it is functional then the issue could be just a faulty switch with a bad connection that makes the light flash.
