Left work last night got about 2 miles down the road and I noticed even though I was pressing on the gas I was losing speed the truck died I tried jumping it off wouldn't work towed it to the mechanic and he said the engine is locked up but there was oil and coolant in it so why would it lock up

why do you mentioned there was oil and coolant in it? when to last time you checked your oil? how often do you change your oil? who changes your oil? what kind of oil do you use? you say coolant? did you check the coolant level? do you ever check the coolant level? how was the coolant level? did the engine get hot? if you're having doubts about the diagnostic of your mechanic maybe you better get a second opinion.
