cylinder leak

my 2000 4wd 2.7l 4 cyl tacoma has an oil leak in cylinder 1. would it be cheaper to have it fixed or buy a new motor?

Get an engine compression/leakdown test to determine where its leaking at-could be valve that won't require the engine to be removed. With that mileage if it ends up being a ring and cylinder wear, go for a new engine
