Gents,
I'm in the middle of a water pump job on a Solara 4 cyl w/the 5S-FE. Read its a non interference engine but do TDC w/sprockets and T-belt.
I did not remove the cam sprocket, marked the belt and the crankshaft sprocket has not moved since removing the belt. I believe I can replace the belt, set tension by tightening the R side idler pulley and run the engine to test without worry. If I haven't removed the sprockets, can I do this? I think I might only need to move the belt a tooth or two, otherwise ok.

The cam sprocket is only removed when you need to replace the oil seal.
