2000 Toyota Celica GT automatic, starts fine, has VERY rough idle and kills engine unless the car is in neutral. Very little acceleration, has trouble getting up to 60 mph and when it does get up to 60 it stays in 4th, struggles at around 7.5k RPM to keep speed, wont shift into 5th. Another obvious side effect is very poor gas mileage, and it seems to go through oil too quickly.

How long you owned the car? Did this occur suddenly? If the exhaust is smoky and smells like oi or if the spark plugs near the electrode look black, they should be a tan/brown color, then you probably have a head gasket leak, piston ring seepage or valve seal failure.
Either way oil is getting into the combustion chamber and making it hard for the engine to fire the gas/air mixture and so there is a rough idle and power loss as well as it burning oil.
You can do a cylinder compression test to see if it is all cylinders or just one that is bad.
The general specifications for cylinder compression testing is that the cylinder should put out 100 PSI on the compression stroke and the lowest compression and highest compression cylinders should have a value within 75% of each other.

I have owned the car for 3 years, occured suddenly after an oil change, and just got worse from there, don't know error codes for sure but shows errors on both 02 sensors, catalytic converter and multiple cylinder misfires, which could stem from one sensor I'm told.
