Head job due to 8 bent intake valves and a sheared intake it cam dowel. Car idles high (1500 rpm) chatters loudly in the valve train. When reevved it emits a white smoke that smell of neither fuel, oil, nor coolant. Had a new universal free flow catalytic converter. Engine is displaying no dtc's. Not sure if the valve train noise is from not replacing the valve cups and valves back in the same places. Timing looks to be on. Timing mark falls ri. Ght on the edge of the metal timing plate. Am assuming. I'm stumped on this completly. Any help is greatly appreciatedthat qould be 12 degrees btdc

Forget the timing you can't adjust it anyhow. Check for worn parts in valve train that were not replaced it's probably your noise. If you car still smokes get it warmed up and drive it as it may go away due to engine work being done on it.
