Removing the emergency brake lever

I dropped something I need in the front of the slot for emergency brake. How do I get underneath to get it out. I don't want to break anything.

We have an pic of that if it's a console type the console will have to come out or at least around the emergency brake. Look for screws and or clips holding it in. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

The emergency break lever will not engage in the up (brakes on) position. It seems the the button on the end of the handle is not working. You do not get the click-click when you raise the handle and thus it just falls back down. Problem it will not pass state inspection

Hi, Sounds Like It Broken. You need the replace the Hand brake assembly.
