When I drive my vehicle it swerves when I go over 40 mph when it's dry not so much but when it rains or snows it's scary. I got my tires checked out from pep boys they say they should get me through the winter. Someone had mentioned to me about my stock black rims being bent, but they seem fine. Any insight?

That's characteristic of an alignment problem. The two front wheels are steering in different directions. Have the suspension and steering systems inspected at a tire and alignment shop. They will inspect the related parts for wear, and they'll "read" the tire wear for clues.
