I have an inclined driveway and my wife parks the car going uphill. If the car hasn't been driven for a day or more and/or the fuel tank isn't more than half full the car is difficult to start.

I would suspect that the fuel pump sock is partially plugged and is causing the issue. You need to check fuel pump pressure when this happens to see if it is low.
