Guage fuse blows during initial startup

Dashboard guage fuse blows when attempting to start. Alternator does not charge battery, but tests fine at parts store (not in vehicle). I have replaced battery (old had bad cell) and the alternator. Wires for lights in trunk were pinched and exposed copper, and I patched them.

With gague fuse blown ALT will not charge recheck patch job in trunk

Checked wires and they are all good and clean....turns out it was the park neutral safety switch.
