2000 Toyota Avensis choking

hello my car does not appear to have mas it is a 2000 1.8 toyota avensis gs engine number is 7a-fe i was reading and came across lambda sensor would it cause the choking and lack of power as it chokes when you hit a hill and with the air flow sensor off as when it is on it chokes even worse thanks

Reading and finding possibilities is not going to help because there are too many of them. What you need to do is diagnose and find out what is causing it.

Is the Malfunction Indicator Light showing and have you checked for trouble codes?

thanks found out it was faulty 02 sensor going great now thanks for all the advice gerry
